It was a pleasure to have the rare opportunity this week to catch up with a friend and former colleague, Federico Medda. Federico joined my team for half a year back in 2019, and did some fantastic work helping design and build a new social intranet system at . He also supported me in running a number of culture mapping workshops across Allianz Trade to help us build an objective view of the organisation’s cultural heartbeat. And he was clearly inspired to take things a step further, as after completing his BSc studies in Italy he went on to complete his MSc in Denmark, which culminated in him writing an excellent thesis focusing on organisational culture theory and how to map the culture of organisations. As part of this thesis, he expanded on the culture map by developing an approach to systematically delve into an organisation’s values, storytelling, symbols and meanings, and investigate how individuals and teams make sense of the cultural narrative. It’s a fantastic piece of work, and I’m looking forward to an opportunity to put it into practice. If you have a culture challenge you need to solve, or if you want to change how teams and individuals think and behave in your organisation, get in touch —I’d love to help.

Today marked the beginning of a new adventure for me, as I started working for HSBC. After a career working in a variety of roles and locations within Allianz and Euler Hermes, I’m excited to have the opportunity to continue working on culture change and internal communication within another complex, global organisation, supporting the agile transformation of HSBC’s cyber security division. One day in, and I realise I have a steep learning curve ahead of me, but my head is buzzing and I can’t wait to get stuck in. Thanks to everyone who has supported me, past or present. Roll on tomorrow!#agile #culture #cybersecurity #transformation #excited

I just returned from a great couple of days in Brussels this week, where we held our kick off with the Product Owners of our local #CultureSquads, who together will be creating a culture fit for a digital future at #EulerHermes throughout Northern Europe. Exciting times ahead for us all – the squads will be working #agile in sprints, running experiments to learn what works and helps to drive change and shift the mindsets of our teams across the region. Thanks for joining and for your passion and energy! I look forward to working with you all, Iveta Terefenkova, Katarzyna Kowalczyk, Michaela Kadeřábková, Pavel Nikiforov, Xavier Dubuissez, and Aurélie Backx. Thanks to Mike Rees and Edmee Muller for their help facilitating and to Aurélie for your support in organising and hosting at #EHbelgium.#cultureforadigitalfuture
